Last Saturday, a planting and clean-up campaign took place as part of the "Uelsen blüht auf" (Uelsen blossoms) campaign, in which numerous helpers actively participated. The municipality of Uelsen, the VVV Uelsen and the Uelsen advertising association had called for people to work together to beautify the surrounding area and make it even greener.
The helpers - including many committed citizens - planted new plants in various places in Uelsen and helped to clear the landscape of garbage. With their energetic efforts, they helped to beautify the townscape and welcome spring.
"It's always nice to see how many people are committed to our community. Thanks to the great commitment of everyone involved, we have once again come a step closer to our goal of making Uelsen greener and more liveable," said Wilfried Segger, Mayor of the municipality of Uelsen and Hajo Bosch, Municipal Director of the municipality of Uelsen.
The successful conclusion of the campaign was a cozy get-together at the barbecue area, where the helpers ended the morning together with grilled sausages and a good atmosphere.
The municipality of Uelsen would like to thank all the helpers who took part in this campaign and thus made a valuable contribution to the appearance of Uelsen.
