The motorhome site at the Waldbad in Uelsen was opened in spring 2017 and has now been extended by two pitches. Holidaymakers now have a total of 15 spaces for motorhomes at the outdoor pool.
"The south-facing pitch between the indoor and outdoor swimming pools with a view of the countryside is very popular with motorhome owners," report Wilfried Segger, Mayor of the municipality of Uelsen, and Hajo Bosch, Mayor of the joint municipality of Uelsen. "Due to the high demand, it was time for Uelsen, as a state-recognized resort, to create more parking spaces. The cost of the measure was €15,000".
The two new areas for motorhomes are paved with drainage paving stones and, like all other pitches, have a small open area of gravel lawn. Each pitch is equipped with an electricity connection, which can be activated at a machine for a fee and a day ticket. A drinking water and sanitary station is available in the immediate vicinity.

"We currently record around 1,000 overnight stays per year on the pitch and are delighted to be able to increase the number of visits with the help of the new pitches," says Maik Girmendonk, Managing Director of bnn GmbH. "With the two additional spaces, we can significantly ease the rush, especially during the summer months."
The entire site can now accommodate 15 motorhomes. Two pitches are 12 m long and the other 13 pitches are 10 m long. The width of the pitches is 6 m. Holidaymakers have free W-LAN access in the pitch area. Motorhomes can stay on the pitch for up to five days.
