Childcare

Vacation care for primary school children takes place during the summer and fall vacations. This also includes children who do not start school until after the summer vacation. Childcare is provided from Monday to Friday from 07:30 - 13:00. The cost of childcare is €7.50 (including breakfast) per child per day. Vacation care takes place alternately on the premises of the Itterbeck, Wilsum and Uelsen elementary school.

The children can expect a varied program of crafts, baking, games and excursions. Of course, the children's ideas and wishes are always welcome and are taken into account in the program. The children are also catered for in the form of a communal breakfast, drinks and snacks.

The children are looked after by a young and qualified team. The supervisors are, for example, currently training as educators or have completed youth leader training. Many of them have been working in vacation care for several years and have extensive experience in dealing with children. The organization is in the hands of the youth care department of the joint municipality of Uelsen and is actively supported by the Itterbeck and Wilsum support associations.

There are plans to extend vacation care for the Easter vacations.
