Wielen

The border community of Wielen is located in the far west of the joint municipality of Uelsen. In Wielen you will find the westernmost boundary stone in Lower Saxony!

Half of Wielen's 500 or so inhabitants are Dutch nationals. There are close ties across the border, particularly of a family nature. Several municipal roads lead across the "green border".

The old school "Het Schöltien" is the oldest surviving school in the Lower County.
